North Phoenix is pouring the most precise floors in the country right now.

TSMC is building a multi-fab semiconductor campus in north Phoenix on more than two thousand acres, an investment that has grown past $165 billion, with as much as $265 billion announced. Fab 21 is already in high-volume 4nm production, a second fab was completed in 2026, and the buildout keeps going. Around it, Greater Phoenix has become one of the fastest-growing data-center and logistics markets in the country. Fab clean rooms, data-center halls, and distribution slabs all share one demand: floors and layouts held to a tolerance that leaves no room to guess. That is measurement work, and it is what a laser scanner does best.

Fab and data-center floors are graded on flatness and laid out from the model.

Clean rooms and data halls carry equipment that will not tolerate a wavy slab. Tool foundations, raised floors, and rack rows depend on a floor that holds its plane, and the flatness is verified before the equipment arrives. Instead of a rolling profiler reading a handful of lines, our floor flatness analysis scans the entire slab and turns it into a flatness and levelness heat map, so a low zone or a ridge shows before anyone sets a tool or lays a raised floor.

Getting points from the model onto the slab is the other half. Our robotic layout takes the coordinated model and marks anchor points, penetrations, and equipment centers directly on the floor with survey-grade accuracy, so what was drawn is what gets built, at fab and data-center scale where a small error multiplies fast.

A fast buildout still needs an accurate base to build from.

When a campus this size moves at speed, coordination is where schedules are won or lost. Dense mechanical, electrical, and process systems have to fit into structures that are still being finished, and the drawings drift from reality quickly. A laser scan captures the as-built condition at each stage, and coordinated scan-to-BIM models give every trade the same accurate base to route against. For the buildings and support space around the fabs and halls, our building and interior scanning documents the real conditions for renovation, tenant work, and facilities records.
