Second-floor bridges, shared concourses, and multi-level tenant space cross property lines and floor plates, and tape and a hand sketch fall apart fast on connections like these. A laser scan captures the whole set of levels as one coordinated record, so the relationship between a tower, its skyway link, and the building next door is measured instead of guessed. Our building and interior scanning gives owners and architects an accurate floor-by-floor as-built, and it feeds a coordinated scan-to-BIM model when the space is being renovated or re-leased.

The former flour mills along the river are among the most demanding buildings in the metro to work in. Thick masonry, cast-iron and heavy-timber structure, deep floor plates, and a century of modification mean nothing is where a modern drawing would put it. When one of these mill buildings is being adapted for new use, the design has to start from the structure that survived. Our historic preservation scanning records the masonry, the millwork, and the structural features that define the Mill District, so the architect designs into the real building and the character elements are documented before anything is touched.
The same capture carries straight into a scan-to-BIM model for the renovation, giving the mechanical and structural teams geometry they can trust inside a shell that predates their standards.
