We scan the piece you have, capture every curve and surface, and turn it into an editable CAD model and a STEP file. From there it drives a CNC machine, a printer, or a casting pattern, and the part exists again.

What can we scan on a car?

From a full body buck down to a single fastener. If it has a shape you need to reproduce, verify, or modify, we can capture it.

Body panels and trim

Fenders, hoods, doors, quarter panels, bumpers, and chrome trim. The free-form surfaces that no tape measure captures, digitized so a new panel matches the original line.

Mechanical parts

Brackets, housings, manifolds, linkages, and castings. Worn or broken originals captured and reverse engineered into clean geometry you can machine or print.

Interior and fit

Dash pieces, panels, and mounting points captured so a custom or reproduction part fits the real car instead of a drawing that may not exist.

How does a worn part become a new one?

We scan the piece with structured light or laser, whichever suits the size and surface, and build a dense mesh of the real geometry. Photogrammetry handles large panels where a full-field capture is faster. That mesh is the honest record of the object, sag, wear, and all. Then a modeler reverse engineers it into parametric CAD, straightening what should be straight and keeping the shape that matters, and exports a STEP file. That file is what a machinist, printer, or foundry works from.

A scan hands you a mesh first. Turning that mesh into an editable, manufacturable CAD model is a separate skilled step, and it is the difference between a noisy surface and a part you can actually make. That distinction is spelled out in the mesh versus CAD guide.

A real deliverable

What does it cost?

Object and part work is scoped to the piece, not by floor area, because a single bracket and a full body panel are very different jobs. The scan captures the geometry and the CAD modeling turns it into a usable file, and each is priced separately so you see exactly what you are paying for. Send us the part, or photos and dimensions, and we quote it directly.
